It was also a great way for the students to connect meaningfully with communities outside of their own. It also challenged them to think about how different geographical locations will be different. They described what it was like living in such a small town and on the prairies. I had to remind them to clarify certain words, such as "coulee", because other students may not know what it means. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for students to practice their letter writing skills, but to also communicate with other students across the country.
